Notice of Temporary Closure Due to Museum Expansion Construction

The National Hangeul Museum will undergo expansion construction as outlined below to improve the educational and viewing environment. For the safety of visitors, the museum will be temporarily closed during the construction period. Please take note of this for your visit.
Closure Schedule: October 14, 2024 (Monday) - October 2025 (1year)

Group leaders should confirm their reservation at the information desk on the 2nd floor and then receive the group reservation guide provided by the museum.
Please inform the students of the precautions to protect our valuable cultural heritage during their visit.
To maintain order and prevent accidents, the accompanying teacher must be present at all times.

Museum visits for groups of 20 or more are operated by reservation only.
One guide must be registered for every 20 visitors.
If you do not make a reservation, entry may be difficult.
Reservations can be made from 3 months (90 days) to 7 days before the desired visit date.
Cancellations can be made up to 3 days before the desired visit date.
Reservations can only be made through the website. *Phone reservations are not available.
Visits to the Hangeul Playground require a separate application through the 'Hangeul Playground Group Reservation'.
Museum group reservations do not include Hangeul Playground visits or exhibition tour reservations.
