Dreams of a Master Calligrapher

National Hangeul Museum and Shandong Museum in China signed a memorandum of understanding of cultural exchange and cooperation in 2017 and have fostered a relationship of reciprocal exchange and cooperation ever since.
Korea and China have long shared a history of calligraphic culture through the recording medium of ink-brushes and experienced the changes in the calligraphic culture together with the development in the documental archaeology and epigraphy. This exhibition features “Calligraphy Copying of Qing Dynasty” to introduce the calligraphy collection housed by Shandong Museum and “Dreams of a Master Calligrapher” by National Hangeul Museum, under the theme of calligraphy study and calligraphy copying tradition of Korea and China since the 17^th century.
