Introduction

The Hangeul keyboard layout that has become part of everyday life now dates back to the former Ministry of Science and Technology’s‘Proposal for a Standard in the Mechanization of Hangeul’ in 1969. The exhibition, part of our permanent display, will provide a retrospective on Hangeul typewriters during the height of their use in the 1970s‒1980s
