Notice of Reopening

The National Hangeul Museum will conditionally reopen its doors to the public starting
in accordance with government-advised social distancing guidelines

1. The permanent exhibition hall and children’s museum

● To comply with social distancing and containment measures, the number of visitors will be limited to 100 per hour.

● Foreigners can enter the museum through on-site registration. (Individual tours only, no group tours)

- Visitors will be requested to provide the museum staff with their identification and personal information to backtrack contacts should there be any covid-19 confirmed cases.

- Visitor’s information will be discarded after being copied and kept for 4 weeks.

● Visitors will be allowed to enter the permanent exhibition hall and children’s museum.

● The museum opens 9:00AM to 6:00PM every day until further notice

2. Cultural events

● To prevent the additional spread of coronavirus infection, all programs and events will be canceled until further notice

3. Other facilities

● Hangeul Library on the first floor will be available in a restricted fashion forbook rental services.

● Only takeout service is available at the museum cafe.

● Annex will remain closed until further notice,
